Ethics Statement

All robotics hardware, software, and related research developed under this project is strictly non-dual-use. The work is not designed, optimized, or intended for military or defense applications, and the project will not pursue funding, partnerships, or deployments in those domains.
Specifically, the following are outside the scope of this project, permanently:
- Military robotics or autonomous weapons systems
- Defense surveillance or reconnaissance systems
- Any application developed for or in collaboration with armed forces or defense contractors
- Any adaptation of project outputs for lethal or coercive use
The intended application domains are:
- Civilian robotics research
- Environmental monitoring and conservation
- Peaceful scientific research
- Public-benefit civilian applications
This constraint applies to all software, hardware designs, datasets, trained models, documentation, and derivative works produced as part of the project. Contributors are expected to uphold these constraints in any work they associate with or build upon this project.
This statement reflects a deliberate design and values commitment, not merely a legal limitation.
